Choosing an Exciting Vacation for the Entire Family

Yesterday, we talked about making sure your home is secure while you are on vacation but where should you go?  Summer vacation is a great way to relax and bond with your family so choosing a destination that offers this is a wise decision!

Pick a destination that TRULY offer something for the entire family; including a wide variety of activities great for everyone; golf for dad, spa for mom, children’s activities and so on.

Don’t overbook your vacation!  Remember, this is supposed to be fun so if you have too much going on, you are defeating the purpose of fun and relaxation.

Habits should be kept while on vacation especially for children; this includes bedtime, meal time and bathroom breaks.  Children are creatures of habit and routine so be sure to keep them doing what they are used too.

“Are we there yet?” Don’t laugh!  How many times have you gotten in the car with your children and the almost famous words are spoken several times?  You can go crazy so arm yourself with a variety of in-the-car activities to keep restless and bored children busy so you can keep your sanity and drive safely.

Take time to reconnect and leave technology aside.  Talking with your family in lieu of text, chat or phones is a great way to reconnect with your family.
